What the Coaches Are Saying Following this Event

"I wanted to commend you on the organization and execution of a wonderful night last week. This event really opened our kids' eyes to the opportunities that are available to them, but, more importantly, it really stressed what THEY are responsible for to take advantage of these opportunities. We are very excited to gather more of our student-athletes to participate in next year's event."
-- John Moher, Head Coach. Warren Lincoln HS

"Great job. Great night. Count me in for next year! It's all about helping the kids."
-- Cory Gildersleeve, Head Coach Dearborn Hts. Crestwood HS

RECRUITING SEMINAR

The New CASS TECH HIGH SCHOOL Auditorium

This event was free and open to the first 1000 athletes and parents. We encouraged younger players in 9th -10th grade to attend. We educated the athletes and parents on the important points for the recruiting process starting with their freshman year. Our focus was on the importance of ACADEMICS. The better the academics, the more opportunities your athletes will have available to them. We also introduced our Born2DoThis Mentor program to the athletes and parents.

1st Annual SE Michigan FOOTBALL RECRUITING Night

The New CASS TECH HIGH SCHOOL Cafeteria
6:00 - 9:00 pm
December 5, 2007

This event is open to any high school football Head Coach. We have personaly invited all high school coaches from the following leagues:

Detroit Public School League Catholic High School League
Michigan Mega Conference Macomb Area League Oakland Activities Association
All others High Schools welcome

This event gave the high school coach an opportunity to present all of his college prospects to a large number of recruiters. Recruiting nights are important in the recruiting process because of the restraints of time, money, personnel and resources. These events are a "win, win, win" for the college coach, the high school coach and most important, the athletes. It also allowed high school coaches an opportunity to build relationships with colleges that are not allowed to recruit on high school campuses. Coaches should bring copies of each prospect’s transcripts, bio and copies of game tapes in the 11th and 12th grade. It is critical for high schools to attend to not only help their senior athletes but to open more opportunities to their future players.
